Dr. Baker received her BA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She then graduated veterinary school from Tuskegee University cum laude.
Post veterinary school, she completed a rotating medicine/surgery internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists followed by a specialized split internship in Oncology and Ophthalmology. She then completed a three year residency program at the University of Florida prior to obtaining board certification.
She has authored several papers in equine ophthalmology and has spent time at Ross University creating and delivering ophthalmology course content to students. She has a passion for teaching and served as a mentor for both students and interns at various practices. She has delivered numerous continuing education lectures around the country.
She practiced at Animal Eye Care in San Francisco and at Blue Pearl in Manhattan before creating Visionary Veterinary Consulting and traveling the country to provide locum/relief ophthalmology and telemedicine services to various ophthalmology practices. She is now with Animal Eye Guys and resides with two aloof cats and one crazy but adorable Pekingese.

There will NO meeting in May 2025. The presenters can not make the meeting and there is not enough time to replace them.
Also, we regret to inform you that, we will be discontinuing the Central Florida Academy of Veterimary Medicine (CFAVM).
It has been a good run, but times have changed and we can no longer continue the CFAVM.
